Thanks to a wonderful, generous benefactor the Little Sisters were able to set sail on a Gateway Clipper luncheon cruise last month! A group of Residents, Sisters, staff, volunteers and Residents’ family members boarded The Empress which was chartered just for our Home. Everyone enjoyed a delicious meal and had the opportunity to go out on the deck to see views of Pittsburgh from its three rivers: the Monongahela, the Ohio, and the Allegheny. The Doo Wop Doctors provided the entertainment and even played the Home’s favorite “The Chicken Dance” which drew many to the dance floor. Each cruiser received a souvenir photo of them embarking on the ship. As evident in these photos everyone had a fantastic time! Many thanks to all who helped make this outing a success!
