Residents’ Day: A Tribute to the Golden Age
This May we celebrated Residents’ Day with a Golden Age theme. Each household selected a different decade from the 1920s to the 1970s and then decorated their shared space according to that decade’s movies, music and different cultural events. There was a game connected to the time period and food from that era to sample as well.
Every Resident was paired up with a volunteer or staff member and transported through time as they visited each nursing unit and the Pavilion Dining room. The Residents and Sisters enjoyed reminiscing about the Golden Age of the past as they visited each decade!
