Cathy Vonderau, a Resident at the Little Sisters of the Poor, read and signed copies of her newly published children’s book “Bee & Cat” on June 11 in the auditorium of the Little Sisters.
The illustrator, Oakland Catholic student, Averie Strohm was also present. Cathy and Averie met over a year ago when Averie was here for a service weekend with Oakland Catholic. She was drawing a picture of a cat and once Cathy saw it, she knew that was the cat she had envisioned for her book.
