Eclipse Viewing
The skies were cloudy in Pittsburgh on the morning of April 8, 2024, but fortunately by the afternoon, the clouds dissipated which allowed the solar eclipse to be visible. Many Sisters, Apartment Residents and Staff had a terrific view of the cosmic event at the Jeanne Jugan Pavilion entrance. The peak here was just after 3:15 p.m. and everyone was equipped with proper glasses to watch the moon pass over the sun.
While the Pittsburgh area did not reach totality, there was a definite shift in the temperature and dimming of sunlight. What a neat experience for all to share!
